Thread: Mesh deletion bug |
|
|
I've uploaded a L3D file. Try to delete any of the meshes. The application will crash.
Edit:
I found another bug:
1. Create a biped skeleton
2. create a cylinder
3. rotate the cylinder
4. Try to align the cylinder with a bone. The alignment is not correct. The alignment works only if you do not rotate the cylinder
I noticed also that the Numeric Transform window sometimes operates weird with the selected mesh. I think that this happens when you have rotated the mesh after it's creation
I will be more specific (with another post) when I will fix the steps needed for this weird behavior.

I agree. The only feature that I missed from LR3D is the fully customization of mouse. I want, for example, to have the viewport camera rotating using the Alt key and the Left Mouse button. I know this is a personal preference but most applications of this type have this option

Hi Prom,
I found a .RAY file in my hard disk that crashes 1.5 Beta when double clicking it from File Explorer.
It loads without problem from the File menu of LR3D 1.5 Beta
I can send it to you if you like
Just let me know

Thread: Crash on Convert to Skin |
|
|
1. Create a cube
2. Go to Edit Mesh modifier
3. Press the Convert to Skin button
4. Accept to delete Mesh(es)
5. Press the Convert to Skin button again
6. Accept to delete Mesh(es)
You will probably get a crash.
If you do not get a crash immediately then try to move the cube. You will see another cube beneath first.
When exit from application you will get an error.

2. Middle mouse button always zooms

Thanks, I feel like an idiot having not used this option so long

You are right. An option for an 'absolute' or 'relative' snap could be a good idea.

Well done Prom! Congratulations!
The new 1.5 beta version looks better with more depth and quality due to improvements and additions.
Playing with the new version for a while I did not find any bugs (I am still running XP).
Here is my first feedback:
I LIKE MOST
------------------
1. The new material editor
2. The grid option
3. The ability to directly edit sub-elements from selection
SMALL IMPROVEMENTS
---------------------------------
1. When switching from Top view to Perspective view Camera position is too close to the object you where viewing before (in top view) and you need to adjust your view again.
2. In Environment options dialog: When unchecking 'Enable' fog 'Show' check box is not disabled
MY WISH LIST (Public will always have such a list!)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Pick mode must be always active. In LightRay3D you need to make much more mouse clicks than other similar applications.
Consider this for example:
You have two objects in your scene: A cube and a sphere. The cube is just moved and you need to move the sphere. In Lightray3D you must click on Pick icon to select the sphere and then click on Move icon to move it.
It is not necessary that. You should click only in sphere and start moving it immediately. You can save too much time especially in the new version where you can select directly your sub-elements
2. I would like to see a fourth button in the upper right corner of each view for maximizing and restoring its size
3. A button for restoring default settings in Environment dialog is welcomed
