there is a workaround to create animated gifs. You can render multiple single pictures (for example every key frame 1 image) and then put them together to an animated gif in an image creation program.
I tested the md5mesh exporter and it's working almost perfect =)
There is just one little bug in it which made it at first impossible for me to use the plugin (until a workaround with the text editor was figured out).
A space is missing in every line that defines bones, example
First thing to say: I use Lightray 3D for a long time now, mainly for animating! I was known in the previous Lightray forums as StormtrooperGER. Gongratulations to the Lightray 3D 1.4 release, especially the better navigation is very cool!
I wanted to ask if there is going to be an md5 modelling format support someday!? Lightray 3D is mainly used by modders and Doom 3/Quake 4 have big mod communities and poor support of other modelling apps
As far as I know, the md5 modelling format is well documented which made it easy for a person I know to support the format in his 3D game engine... Like this, I could provide you with some nice links or even ask the 3d engine guy for help (he could answer questions concerning the code I think) as he knows the md5 format...
It would be so cool to have Lightray 3D support further game engines by having an md5 export option. I know people want a lot but I think this addition could make sense
