Thread: animations |
|

I would like to know how to import an animation so that I can work on it and change it, then export it.
What files do you import to lightray3d v1.4 to be able to view an already existing animation from MOHAA?

Is there a tool that deletes all the extra faces on flat surfaces? In other words, deletes the un used polys?
Thanks

Thread: UV Unwrap |

About this new feature.. UV Unwrap...
I can make the .bmp file with just its outline.. and the black lines.. like in your post about it. before it is "painted"
I am wondering how to "Paint it"... do you actually have to edit the .bmp file.. isnt there a way so that you can export the .bmp with all the colors of the weapon and not just the black lines??

Hello. Thank you for all your help so far. I think I have got it right, but am not positive. Here is an image showing what I named the bones.
Question: How Do I know which vertexes to attatch to which bones.. and how do I attatch them?

Thread: bone placement |

Hello. I've just made a new weapon skd in the shape of an M16.
I am very confused on how to place bones.. make bones.. and most importantly place them in the right spot so my weapon works correctly.
Could you provide some more in-depth information on what the different parts of bones are needed for models? Specifically rifles..

Is it possible that I can have someone export a model for me, in MOHAA formatt...
I understand that this program is not free, but I want to test it out and see if I can put it all together before I buy it.
I am considering buying the program.. I just wish to find out how it works first and see if I can get the model working for Medal of Honor Allied Assault.
If there is someone who can do this for me.. just one file.. so I can test it out, that'd be great.
Thanks.

Thread: UV Mapping |
|
|
Hello All.
I am a new member to this site, and downloaded LightRay just a few days ago.. I am a modder for the game Medal Of Honor Allied Assault (MOHAA) and am working on making an M16 model.
I have completed making the model and am having troubles with the UV Mapping.
Before I made the M16, I went through the AK47 tut. I made the gun, and when I mapped it, everything was perfectly fine. (Very nice tut by the way..)
While making the M16, I completed the model, and then took the same procedure to UV Map it as in the AK47 tut. Although, something went wrong. When I went to "Edit UV" when I selected the whole model, It looked as if my model was at least 5x too short (length wise), but the right width.
What is weird is that I took the image I used, and scaled it to the same size as the image of the AK47 in the tut but it still is not working.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
MOHAATiger.
PS, if you need any images of how the model looks compared to the image when in "UV Edit", I can post them if wanted.
